Good morning Year 3!

I hope you have all enjoyed your long weekend. Did you celebrate VE day with your family? We are looking forward to another brilliant week of home learning.

Will you be our star of the day?

Wake yourself up with Joe Wicks at 9am. Shake off any weekend tiredness! You can watch live or catch up at any point by typing 'The Body Coach' into YouTube.

Here are your activities for today:

1. English

We are carrying on with our story from last week. Follow the link below. Reread the story 'The Stone Trolls' on pages 5 and 6. Today we are going to play the odd one out game on page 10.

2. Maths

We have nearly finished our work on fractions.

Today is lesson 13 on fractions. Click on the link below and scroll down to 'fractions: adding fractions with the same denominator'. If you have missed a lesson follow on from the last one you did. For example, if you have only completed up to lesson 9. Complete lesson 10 today.

Complete the quiz to remind yourself of Friday's lesson. Watch the video and complete the activities.
3. ICT

Today we are going to play coding games to develop our computational thinking. We are going to play a game called Dragon Dash. Can you help the dragon through the different levels using coding? Listen carefully to the instructions.

When you have completed all of the levels, you could select another game. Go back to the main menu and look at the recommended games.

Reading

This week we are going to be reading The Worst Witch. Follow the link below. Listen to Rachel Riley reading two extracts from the book. Answer the listening questions above each video. Read extract 1. Are there any words you don't know? Try to find out what they mean.

Times Tables

Remember to spend at least 10 minutes on Times Table Rockstars today. How many coins can you get? I will be checking who has been online.

Remember to comment below or email to say hello. Don't forget to send in your photos to year.3@ctk.education

Have a great day,

Miss Kingscote
