Good morning Year 3!

Here are your activities

Get your body moving with Joe Wicks this morning. 

English 

Today we are going to use the ideas from 'Stone Trolls' to plan our own story. Start on page 16, here they explain the plot from the story, this will help you think of a structure for your own story. Pages 17 and 18 give you some suggestions and ideas you could use to change the story to make it your own. You might decide to change the characters, the setting and what happens at sea. You could keep some of the story the same. Now we can use the template on page 19 to plan our own story.

Maths 

We are going to use a fun new trick called 'The Brick Method' to learn our 4 x table. Watch the video below and see how easy the 4 x table can be.

When you have practised using your new tricks, log into TT Rockstars and use your new tricks to help you.



PSHE

Read the story called Staying Home, accessed through the link below. Make a list of things that help you feel better when you are feeling sad. If you would like to you can share your list with someone you live with.

We are going to continue reading The Worst Witch story. Follow the link below. Listen to Rachel Riley reading two extracts from the book. Read extract 2 yourself and complete activity 2.

Today's reflection

A slightly quieter day today. We didn't hear from as many of you as we have on other days. Don't forget to email to tell us how you are. We love to hear from you. Thank you to those who have sent in photos today of their brilliant work.

Awele is our star of the day. She has worked hard today practising her times table tricks and writing her story.

Fidel has worked really hard with his reading, writing and maths today.
