Good morning Year 3!

I hope you slept well. Are you ready for another great day of home learning?

Who will be our star of the day?

Here are your activities for today:

English

Turn to page 22. We are going to be looking at personification today. Personification is giving an object human characteristics e.g. the slide smiles. The slide is made to sound human. Complete the personification game on page 22 and think of your own examples of personification. Use page 23 to help you. Remember you are trying to bring the park to life!

Maths

We are continuing with our work on measurement. Scroll down and click on the lesson 2 'measures: add and subtract mass'. Watch the video and answer the questions.

Reading

Read another of your new books you chose yesterday from Oxford Owl. If you haven't yet chosen 3 new books, do that today (look back at yesterday's reading task). We are going to be writing a book review. Remember that a book review is your chance to explain why you liked or didn't like the book you read.

Things to include in your book review:
Title of book
Author
Fiction or Non-fiction
How many stars would you give it out of 5?
What was the book about?
Who were the characters?
Who would like reading this book?
Would you recommend it?

Music

We are going to be following 'the beat goes on' to learn body percussion. Body percussion is using your body to make music, no equipment is needed. Watch the tutorial below. Olly (the teacher) will talk you through each step.  I hope you enjoy your second body percussion lesson!
Don't forget to comment below to say hello or email us to let us know how you are. Keep sending in your fab photos to year.3@ctk.education. We love to hear from you!

Have a lovely day,

Miss Kingscote

We hope to see lots of you on our zoom call tomorrow at 9.30am. Remember to join using your name so I can identify who you are. Some of your friends will be joining me from school- how exciting! Mrs Miller and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
